The Guru in 1916
Memoirs on the life and times of members of the larger Elavanthi (ഇലവന്തി) family including circle of relatives and friends. The theme of these articles is principally aligned with the family's guiding spirit for four generations - Sree Nārāyana Guru's vision of righteousness, equality and non-dual wisdom. This private compilation is for the Elavanthi family, relatives, friends and posterity.

Inspiration of Righteousness
From the 19th century, Nārāyana Guru has inspired present-day Kerala towards the path of spiritual and social reform. A Sanskrit scholar, poet and spiritual master, this Guru’s divinity, wisdom and mystical philosophy of human equality were instrumental in re-writing the social history of Kerala from the late 1880s through the early 1900s. The Guru’s call for social reform through a path of spiritual empowerment, education and self-sustenance of the underprivilaged spread its positive vibes like wildfire through all hierarchies of society and intelligentsia, including influencing other stalwarts like Mahatma Gandhi and Rabindranath Tagore.
